This is Requiem. some anime dude. Just hearing that tune at the end gave me goosebumps. Also high ground. Magnificent sequence, wonderfully designed and shot. You are the caretaker here. You've always been the caretaker, sir. I loved this movie. I am a huge fan of the shinning. always have been one of my childhood favorite horror movie. Hopefully another one comes out soon.

Ahh, Now I remember why I had a huge crush on Ewan McGregor in 1997 when A Lifeless Ordinary came out. I even had a life-size cardboard cut out of him as Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars 💫. Damn hes still got it. I may not have actually seen the Shining but those twins were super creepy no matter how much I watch that scene or in parodies. The Shinning is an example of how you correctly make a horror movie. Psychological and dread, not jump scares and sudden noises.

Here's Johnny. I dont think its got enough thumping and slamming drums. I saw this movie when I was 10 and the bear scene scared me so bad I had to get my dad to stand by my bed until I fell asleep for 2 weeks. Is this movie about Adrenochrome.

I watched the shining growing up (I'm only 35) and I never really understood it, so I decided to watch this film and Iv only just come out of the cinema and thought I had to write a review what a absolutely amazing film. Way better then the shining but it carries on from the shining I suppose it's a different generation it is going to be different but it's more about Danny and his shining. Which explains a lot about the shining movie to me. I want to go watch this again. 10/10 for me and my husband. It had gore it had horror, it was so clever written I really hope there is more because I diddnt want this film to end. Can't wait to watch again and again. Last time on the shining. Read the book and now anticipating the movie! I can't wait. If anything this scene - as well as aspects of Doctor Sleep the book - support the idea that the Losers' Club from It had the Shine. If you recall, Bill Denborough astral projects himself to another dimension to commune with the cosmological being Maturin.

This was an excellent final showdown Rose not knowing the evil that lurks in this hotel and what it does to psychics Hell of a comeuppance. Maybe Jack is stuck in some kind of purgatory and has been stuck in that cycle since the 1920's. Maybe Jack really is the Grady guy. And each time he goes through the cycle as a different person and will be stuck in this cycle until he finally learns his lesson. So in other words, the entire film is Jack's/Grady's purgatory. Doctor Please.

That “medicine” thing was a reference to the book when jack would ask the same question when he was going to beat danny. Heres my explanation i think when he entered the hotel and stayed for months at the overlook hotel made him start hallucinating previous events in the hotel and playing mind games on him believing he was always the care taker of the overlook hotel. Then he got possessed and tried to kill his family. Then when that picture showed at the end was all the souls that died in the overlook hotel.
